Advance Care Planning

Advance Care Planning is a service for everyone. I offer two 90 minute sessions to create a comprehensive plan for my clients. This gives peace of mind and also renews the brilliance of life. A life to be lived to the fullest and peace of mind knowing all the details are for the end of life are planned before a crisis. A gift for yourself and family members.

Care Consultant

As a Doulagivers Care Consultant I assist with completion of a subjective and thorough Advance Directive.  It will also include a Living Well End of Life Plan of the highest quality for them and their family before any crisis may occur.

Certified End-of-Life Doula

As a Doulagivers End-Of-Life Doula Specialist I offer several services. Primarily I am a non-medical professional expanding and enhancing positive end-of-life care. Creating eulogies and peaceful spaces with the patient for their good death. Empowering family caregivers with skills and knowledge needed to provide compassionate care to those they love in final stages of life.

Certified Elder Care Doula

As an Elder Care Doula I offer holistic companionship to elders who need help with their activities of daily living. I also take my elders to medical appointments when needed to help ask pre-discussed questions and take notes in their notebook for review after the appointment. I offer companionship for my elders to places they want to go (such as restaurants, parks, museums, music venues and social/religious engagements to name a few).

Expressive Arts Legacy Projects

Expressive Art Legacy Projects are designed to allow my clients time to reflect on their life and create unique “Life” boards. Using photos and memorabilia (photo copied) from their personal collection. Their board is designed to present to family as a legacy. It can be made with family members to create joyful memories together. Another service would be to craft cards for family members and write letters for future events that they know they won’t be present for (graduations, weddings, birthdays…)

Good Death Movement Cafes

Fostering open conversations and offering valuable resources, we can collectively change how society approaches end-of-life care and planning. Normalizing conversations about death, provide essential end-of-life support, and empower communities with tools to plan and prepare for a good death.

Good Death Seminar Series

12 session series I teach using the Good Death Book. Why is death the number one fear? How can death be made sacred again? What must we do to ensure no one faces death unprepared?  Join in to discover the answers and plan for your good death.

Who am I?

I am Kathleen Carroll-Walsh:
daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend.
I have learned many things along the journey so far…
The most profound is my calling is to hold space and
support others preparing for and at the end-of-life.
As far back as I can remember I have considered death
a sacred part of life.
At the age of ten I sat with my grandmother, holding her hand
when the whole family said goodbye to her husband,
my grandfather.
Twenty years later I heard this same grandmother take her last breath over a landline when her daughter and son-in-law
(my parents) were at her bedside.
In 2008 I was with my father in a hospice-hospital room from
Friday-Monday with no hospice volunteers
because it was the weekend.
No one to help us navigate. My mother and I sat vigil for 72 hours.
Dad’s end-of-life was peaceful but could have been so much more
if I had the understanding I have now then.
As a Certified Doulagivers Specialist I am trained to help you
make your plan for a good death while focusing on living a good life!

Luminary Labyrinth Services, LLC will support and illuminate your journey to make informed decisions about your
(Physical, Mental, Emotional, Financial, and Spiritual)
Good Death using holistic Doulagivers practices together.
